Happy 49th Anniversary, Doctor Who!

abandonedmarionette:

I saw this circulating in Facebook this morning, but I wasn’t able to find the original post. So I apologize for not being able to properly give credit to the person who actually made it. Just to let you know what the post was all about, I took the liberty to post the picture:

As a great Doctor Who fan, I was very much willing to oblige. Before I went to school this morning, I drew the Doctor Who initials on my wrist using a blue highlighter and liquid eyeliner. I tried my very best to copy the “DW” logo and here was the result:

At school, only one guy noticed this and he was also the only other person in my class who watches Doctor Who. My friends even teased me for being the big “nerd girl” I am when I explain what this drawing meant. Some others gave weird glances at my wrist. Ha, like I care. Nonetheless, I was happy with what I did. Right now, it is still on my wrist and the more I see it there, the more I want to have a permanent tattoo like this. Oh, if only I can get one, I would.

So again, Happy 49th Anniversary to Doctor Who! I am expecting a lot more of those great episodes!

OMG!! WILL DO THIS TOO!!

Hello, my dear followers. Good evening!
Look what I got from the bookstore today! It’s Sherlock Holmes by none other than Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
I wasn’t actually planning to buy a book right now since I’m still saving up for a good haul. But then I was too early for my summer job and I decided to pass by a bookstore first just to browse for any good book. And then I found this one. Sadly, it’s the second volume and no matter how much I searched, I cannot find the first. Nevertheless, I still bought it since I don’t really need to read Sherlock Holmes in a certain order.
I am curious about the novels since I have watched and fangirled over BBC Sherlock, so I want to know how different the book and show are. I know for a fact that the show was modernized and completely more futuristic with all the tech-y stuff. I guess I wanted to read how the original Sherlock worked his brilliance to solve the mysteries of Victorian England. I know that Sherlock Holmes is considered to be one of the best classics ever written.
I am not really a big fan of detective books but then the mystery, cleverness and plot twists I have watched on the show is enough to convince me that the book might also be a good read. Hopefully, I can find the other volumes so that I can enjoy the whole thing completely.

I like her eyes! :)

Me: *saw a gray angel statue*

Cousin: What?
Me: OMG. *staring hardly at the statue*
Cousin: WHAT??
Me: This isn't happening..
Cousin: WHAT???
Me: WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T MOVE. DON'T TURN AROUND. DON'T EVEN BLINK!
Cousin: .....
People inside the store: ....
People passing by: ....
Me: It's a WEEPING ANGEL!! WE NEED THE DOCTOR!!!
Cousin: Oh God, I don't know you. *walks away*

So, this is basically how my Facebook timeline looks like right now.

I hate the timeline but I guess this would make it seem loads better. The text is a bit off the center since my ugly profile pic would cover it. This is a lot like my sidebar here in my blog, just tweaked it up a bit. And yes, I am very happy with the result. Haha. So guys, what can you say? Do you like it?
